On 16 October 2026, a working meeting was held at our organisation, attended by staff from the public institution ‘Vaiko užuovėja’ (Biržai) and the Kėdainiai Family Support Centre.
The aim of the meeting was to share best practice and discuss current issues relating to the organisation of support services for young people. During the professional discussions, the main focus was on the following topics:
- Fostering independence: the importance of young people’s engagement and the process of preparing them for integration into society.
- Building relationships: methods for establishing trust-based relationships with young people.
- The role of the family: the influence of relatives and the importance of cooperation during the support period.
